We are an all volunteer group  of advocates for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) in Colorado.from top of stairs 600x300

ME afflicts as many as 42,000 people in Colorado.* That’s about as many people as live in the City of Littleton!

75% of people with ME are unable to work or go to school. Among the Colorado ME community these  are some who are no longer able to work;

  • Sue, airline pilot
  • Kris, fiber artist and llama farmer
  • Julie, who cared for Alzheimer’s patients
  • Joanna, who couldn’t complete her education because of ME
A quarter of those with ME are housebound or bedbound, like Lee-Anne who rarely leaves her room. The most severe patients are sensitive to light, sound and touch and live in dark, quiet rooms fed by tubes.
The disease affects from 1-2.5 million people in the United States. The cause is unknown, their is no FDA approved treatment, and no cure. By all measures it is terribly underfunded.
